The «Next Level» series is entering into it’s second round! Long distances and lots of altitude are again part of this year’s program. Join us on the breathtaking trails around Grindelwald, and be part of our Trail Running Community! The workshops will be led and supervised by Salomon athletes and ambassadors, sharing their tips, tricks and “know how”. Tips on training, nutrition and equipment are guaranteed.
About the route: A beautiful summit trail that leads from the shop to the Upper Grindelwald Glacier. The technical trail passes the Glecksteinhütte and offers everything from waterfalls to ice and snow! If luck is on our side, we will even encounter ibex. The trail is very exposed in places and should only be attempted by experienced mountain walkers with the proper equipment. Back in the store, we have more than earned the aperitif!
Attention, the route is demanding and exposed in some places! (T4)
We move in high alpine terrain, sure footedness and a good endurance are required. We only take experienced trail runners and we reserve the right to send back participants who do not meet the requirements in time.
Requirements: You run a lot and are very well trained. Altitude is a regular part of your running training. If you feel up to the challenge, then we are looking forward to your registration!
Equipment: Equipment adapted to the conditions is expected. We will be happy to advise you in advance. Road running shoes as well as heavily worn tread or otherwise unsuitable footwear will not be taken on the “journey”. Suitable clothing for the weather and good, off-road running shoes. If you like, bring your poles with you – there are special techniques for using these on the trail sand we will share with you how to use the poles optimally. We also recommend a running backpack with food and a drink. Pack a windbreaker and, depending on the weather forecast, also rainwear!
(Shoes, poles and backpacks can be tested free of charge in the Backdoor Shop)
Upon finishing, join us for refreshments at the store! Recharge with drinks and nibbles. A cozy conclusion and exchange among all participants rounds off the experience.
